Warehouse Management
Professional inventory control for commodities that matter.
Not every business that handles bulk commodities wants to run its own warehouse. The work is operationally heavy, the standards expected by banks and corporate buyers are exacting, and the cost of getting it wrong — spoilage, theft, contamination, lost stock — is rarely recoverable.
AFIKY operates warehouses on behalf of clients who need professional inventory control without building the team to do it themselves.
What Warehouse Management Covers
We take operational responsibility for the storage and handling of your commodity, from the moment it arrives at the warehouse to the moment it leaves under your instruction.
Receiving. Every incoming consignment is weighed, inspected, sampled, and recorded. Discrepancies are flagged before goods are accepted into stock.
Storage and stacking. Goods are stored according to commodity-specific requirements — bag size, stack height, ventilation, dunnage, and segregation by lot, grade, or owner.
Condition monitoring. Temperature, humidity, and pest activity are checked on a defined schedule. Fumigation is planned and supervised in line with the commodity’s storage profile.
Stock control. Inventory records are maintained continuously. You receive periodic stock statements at an agreed frequency. Physical stock counts can be conducted on request.
Dispatch. Goods leave the warehouse only on your written instruction, against documented dispatch notes. Weight, quantity, and condition are verified at the gate.
Documentation. Every movement in and out is recorded. Records are kept in a form that holds up to audit by your finance team, your bank, your buyer, or any third party with a legitimate claim.

*For commodities not listed, we’ll tell you honestly whether we have the experience to manage them.
We are warehouse operators, not commodity traders or buyer’s agents. We don’t take ownership of stock. The relationship is a service relationship — you own the commodity, you make the commercial decisions, we execute the storage and handling on your instruction.
This boundary exists because professional warehouse management requires the operator to have no commercial stake in the goods. The moment that line is crossed, the records become contestable. We keep our role clean.
